Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has visited his former ally and former National Deputy Chairman (South West) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to condole him on the death of his son, Dipo, who died last month.
 
According to a release by his Media Aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, Obasanjo led top aides and loyalists to the Ikoyi residence of the former Military Administrator of Ondo State, where he urged him to take solace in God over the demise of his late son, Dipo, who died last May, 9.

The former President, who led top aides and loyalists to the Ikoyi residence of the former Military Administrator of Ondo State urged Bode George to take solace in God on the demise of the son. “We cannot query God, but to only take solace in what he has done to you. If this do not happened, who knows what next that will happen. I have not been around but it was in my mind to come over and commiserate with you and the family. May God grant the depose eternal rest.
 
But, the visit turned emotional when sister to Bode George, Alhaja Majolagbe in her vote of thanks declared that the rift between the two was over with the visit.

According to Majolagbe, “we are all shocked when this started. But, today, devil has been put to shame. The evil this morning has been condemned outside this house. It will never come to this two great Nigerians anymore. “They have  come back again, when my brother will find Ota his home. It is over, Allah take all thanks,” she said.

Police arrest notorious gunrunner who supply arms to cattle wrestlers, kidnappers and armed ribbers in Katsina.

The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a notorious gunrunner, who supply arms and ammunition to cattle rustlers, kidnappers and armed robbers hiding at Rugu forest, Safana Local Government Area of the state. The suspect Safiyanu Amadu, 50, of Barbelu village, Bakori LGA, was nabbed on July 9,  following a tip off. Amadu was chased and arrested deep inside Rugu forest and two locally made revolver pistols and one 62mm life ammunition of Ak.47 rifle were recovered from his possession. The suspect has confessed to have intends selling same to cattle rustlers inside the forest. He is currently assisting the police in their investigation.
