A woman could face a five-year jail term in Egypt after complaining about the country in a 10-minute Facebook video.
Mona el-Mazboh, a Lebanese holidaymaker, sparked outrage when she reportedly insulted the nation by calling it a "son of a b***h country" in a video shared online. In the video, Mazboh complains of being sexually harassed by taxi drivers and young men in the street, as well as poor restaurant service in Cairo during the holy month of Ramadan.

She went on to refer to Egyptians as the "dirtiest people on earth" and a "country of pimps… the country of beggars." She also said a lot of them are beggars and narrated an incident in which money was stolen from her during a previous stay.
She took aim at President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who was sworn in for a second term as president on Saturday, by saying: "You deserve what Sisi is doing to you, I hope God sends you someone more oppressive than Sisi."

Following the rant, Mazboh was arrested last Thursday at Cairo airport as she was about leaving the country at the end of her stay in Egypt. She's been detained since then. Her initial 15-day detention was renewed for a further 15 days yesterday, according to Associated Press.

Egypt’s public prosecutor said the woman’s case has been referred to criminal trial. She could face three to five years in prison if found guilty, according to one of the lawyers
who filed a complaint against her.
Mazboh has since posted a second video apologizing to "respectable Egyptians" for her remarks.

Young man stabbed to death by gang of dangerous youths in Adamawa after he refused to hand over his phone (photo)

A young man identified as Mohammed Danladi Lade was killed in Yola, Adamawa state. According to family members, the deceased, a graduate of the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola, was stabbed to death with dagger by members of a notorious gang called Shila during Sallah celebration on Monday,  June 18, at Polo ground in Yola Town. It was gathered that the gang attacked him and tried to snatch his phone but he refused to hand it over. They then stabbed him with a dagger.
